What we do:

Standard Guidance offers consulting and support options to assist organizations manage materials through the reuse, recycling, and disposal process.

This includes crafting the needed policies and procedures, providing material tracking support, data analysis, and auditing for recyclers, manufacturers, construction companies, the telecommunication industry, nonprofits, government agencies, and others.

International Management System Standards

As our name implies, Standard Guidance also guides organizations through the design and implementation of integrated management systems that meet the requirements of international quality, environmental, and Health & Safety standards, including: ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, R2, RIOS, 27001 and e-Stewards.

Corporate e-waste management

When determining how to dispose of or sell end of life IT assets, many companies do not have the in-house knowledge or resources to do the due diligence necessary to verify that they or their vendors are properly processing the equipment and potentially sensitive data it contains.

Standard Guidance creates specific policies and procedures appropriate to risks and needs of each organization.  Based on the industry best practices found in the R2 and e-Stewards standards, this includes performing onsite or desk reviews of direct vendors, additional tier downstream vendors, or subcontractors.

Info:

-New Website is coming! ...Just not sure how soon.

-ISO 45001 is replacing OHSAS 18001. Make sure you are ready to transition and that the transition lines up with your audit schedule.

-New Draft of R2V3 will be out soon with a revised REC.

-R2 and eStewards are a great place to start when deciding on ITAD vendors, however recent investigations have shown they are no guaranty material is being handled in the manner that clients often assume. While this is sometimes due to bad actors, it is at least as often misunderstandings mixed with erratic controls/auditing. Certifications are great but engaged clients have the greatest influence over their vendors, and nothing beats competent vendor monitoring.
